I know, I know…vampires — we said we were through. We swore off True Blood and whatever that CW mess is, and now here we are, back at fang one. But this one’s different, I think. First off it’s helmed by one of our favorite horror-meisters, a true genre aficionado with a little blood under his belt. With del Toro and novelist/writer partner Chuck Hogan (The Town, Prince of Thieves: A Novel) heading up this adaptation of their own book trilogy, a weighty cast including Bradley, House of Cards’ Corey Stoll, and Kevin Durand, and the twisted up way these creepy creatures “infect,” this looks like whole new…er (if you’ve seen the teasers) can of worms.
