This is the way to start your Monday right. I don’t know that I ever expected to see Colin Firth kicking ass all over the place, or Samuel L. Jackson to be a blood-fearing, ivory-towered wimp, but hot damn, this works. Matthew Vaughn’s (Kick-Ass,X-Men: First Class) on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ The Secret Service comic looks fierce, fun and it’s tinged with goofy humor. I cannot wait to park my ass in that theater seat.

Relative newcomer Taron Egerton (The Smoke, Testament of Youth) hits the right notes as the young recruit Firth brings in for training; he’s joined by our beloved Michael Caine, Mark Strong, and a certain Jedi you might remember: Mark Hamill (who also has a role in the comic) . The Kingsman is in theaters February 15, 2015.

Cindy Davis, (Twitter) hopes she can afford the ticket.
