Chernobyl Diaries Trailer: Scaring The Pants Off Of You, Now Available In Russian

Sure, Chernobyl Diaries comes to you from Oren Peli, who brought us Paranormal Activity, a film that seems equally divided among the love/hate camps. Personally, I enjoyed it, though “love” might be a strong word. Peli also created the television series a href=”>The River, which our Sarah Carlson had decidedly mixed feelings on. Chernobyl Diaries falls within the same concepts — a group of Americans seeking adventure in Russia go on a sort of renegade tour of the abandoned Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Pripyat in the former Ukranian SSR.

Unsurprisingly, things don’t go well. There are strange sounds and dark rooms and weird visions and creepy kids and a good bit of screaming. Basically, another entry in the Pretty White People Who Do Dumb Shit And Get Killed For It series of horror movies. I give it a bit more credence simply because of my enjoyment of Paranormal Activity, but I also concede that it does feel a bit direct-to-video.

What say you, scaredypants?
