One of the most buzzed about titles at Fantastic Fest is Anna and the Apocalypse. That was initially because the premise seemed just too too much. The Scottish offering is a musical horror movie that’s also a teen comedy that’s also set at Christmas. Following its world premiere last Friday, praise came quick for this outrageous and winsome genre mash-up.

The cast and crew was in attendance.

And they brought some friends.

Now, you can get a sense of what Fantastic Fest audiences are raving about with Anna and the Apocalypse’s first trailer.

There’s no reported release date for the US yet. But word has it that the filmmakers are seeking US distribution, and considering the wild praise genre fans are heaping on Anna and the Apocalypse, I suspect we’ll hear an update soon.
