Creating “Nip/Tuck” and “Glee,” Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck have been responsible for some of the most depraved and twisted television of the last decade. And they made a show about plastic surgeons too. What? Don’t judge me for picking the low hanging fruit.

But seriously, can you pick two more completely different shows from the same creators? And they’re about to make it a third with “American Horror Story,” which according to one site which got to see the pilot already is “a sex-filled gorefest.” They certainly landed an interesting group of actors to fill out the cast. Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton star as husband and wife, and Jessica Lange is their neighbor. The family moves into an old haunted house and bizarre happening occur.

The first five minutes are up online, featuring none of those people:

See I can respect that. Damned gingers tearing up a nice old house like that? Soulless creatures got what they had coming.

the kids hear a sound from the basement which makes them feel a little apprehensive, so they do the most logical thing: lay down their weapons and go investigate.

I'll give this a try. I feel like TV horror (as opposed to movie horror) is really limited. We know there's a distinct limit to what they're allowed to do, so most of the time you can relax. I'm interested to see if this show can subvert that.

I also read that this is the show for you if you have always wanted to hear Tami Taylor say "I can be kinky!"

Has all sorts of crazy awesome stuff to explore in the house for American Horror Story, including an exclusive scene if you get all the way through the house.
