I Wonder if They’ll Play the Cat-Brain Game

Adventureland is the first film that director Greg Mottola has written since his 1996 feature The Daytrippers, but he’s been busy directing things like “Arrested Development,” “Undeclared,” and Superbad. His new film is a coming-of-age story about a college grad (Jesse Eisenberg) working a crap job and trying to figure out life and love. It feels a little bit like Waiting, even before Ryan Reynolds shows up to offer sarcastic but ultimately well-meaning guidance. And for the kids out there, the love interest is played by Kristen Stewart, making her best acting face.

I'll see this. I just know I will.

Does anyone else ever feel like they're powerless against movies like this?

"I'm amazed at how tiny my penis is."

That is what I heard, and that is what I shall continue to believe.

I giggled a few times. Mostly because that pretty much sums up my life. Minus the laughs. Oh, and I probably make less than that kid.

Oh, Cat-Brain game. Well shit. That sounds a lot less interesting than the cat game. I guess it's not quite so funny meow, is it?

AHHHHH!!! BILL HAVERCHUCK IS IN THIS. Ahem, that excites me.

Kristen Stewart was refreshing as the angry-mysterious-hot-hippie in Into the Wild... Someone should tell her that that character role is over, now, though. Someone, BE NICE, and just tell her already!

I'm just glad movies are being filmed in Pittsburgh again... I will see this just for that fact.

Isn't Martin Starr a little old for Bill Haverchuck Part 2: Electric Boogaloo? (I know Anything Part 2: Electric Boogaloo is overdone, but I don't care. I'll just be over here doing the Macarena)

Is it a coincidence that the same actress that played Ryan Reynold's mum in Waiting is playing this guy's mum?
