There are two types of people on this site. Those who get excited by the name “Benedict Cumberbatch” and those who are dead inside. But good news everybody! This teaser trailer has something for everyone! It features Benedict Cumberbatch (hat tip to the first group) being beaten senseless (hat tip to the second group).

So “Little Favour” is a 22 minute short film that got funded to the tune of a bit over six figures on Kickstarter, and features Mr. Cumberbatch as a former operative in Her Majesty’s service (code name 00221B, I presume) who is dragged back in to the game in order to help a friend.

The teaser is a 26 second affair, consisting of only about 15 seconds of actual footage. I suppose for a 22 minute movie, that come out to proportionately as long as a standard trailer:

According to sources, Saint Benedict’s character has been recovering from PTSD, running a successful side business, and looking for love (in all the wrong places? One can assume so). That’s a lot of side stories for 22 minutes, but Sherlock was always gifted at performing under pressure.
