It’s a slow night for movie news folks, at least good movie news. But that won’t stop me from trying to cut into your viewings of “30 Rock” and “The Office” to present 55 seconds of pure, unadulterated hell.

I speak of a new clip from the upcoming Jack Black and the Emo Muppet comedy, Year One. Now, you’d imagine that, were a movie studio to release 55 seconds of uncut footage from its movie, that they’d probably want to go with a funny clip, right? Unfortunately, from the looks of this clip, Year One has one less funny part than I do.

One of the summer’s other highly anticipated comedies is Sacha Cohen Baron’s follow-up to Borat, Bruno. It’s pretty much the same movie, only Bruno is prettier. And gay. And just these still images, alone, are enough to make me kind of sick of it already. Why do I get the sinking feeling that Sacha Cohen Baron is of the Mike Meyer’s school of acting: EVERYTHING IS FUNNIER WITH AN ACCENT.

Not gonna bother watching that trailer.

I gotta say I'm pretty uninterested in Bruno. And I thought Borat was pretty brilliant. For some reason this just looks...shittier. a lot shittier.

The sad thing is, I think SBC is pretty hot when he's not in a stupid costume or talking in a retarded accent. He might be like Jim Carrey - with the right director to rein him in, he might have a chance at not being as irritating as shit.

For my thoughts on the nude wrestling scene of Borat, nothing is more appropriate than a quote from Jules Verne in Pulp Fiction:

I did not enjoy Borat.

Even though I was disappointed by Borat (just wasn't funny) I would be willing to tune in for Bruno. If that one sucks, then I'll wait for him to play Freddie Mercury, and nothing else.

That pic with the baby is killing me.

Never understood the hype over Michael Cera, and his 15 minutes need to end. Jack Black needs new material, because I thought he blew in Tropic Thunder.

That said, I liked Borat, am so far unimpressed by what I've seen abut Bruno, and Year One looks like a steaming pile of donkey vomit.

I was not a fan of Borat, the "look how polite people are while I humiliate them" shtick gets really old fast. However, that man has a damn fine ass in those pictures.

I cannot tolerate Sacha Baron Cohen. I've wanted to punch him in the face right from day one of Ali G. I was hopeful that Borat which I couldn't watch as just the trailer gave me hives, would backfire on him. That didn't work, but it looks like I may not have to wait long for his career to implode under the strain of his talent free dickishness. Huzzah!

I'm with Popcultureboy on this one, I've never understood the appeal of SBC, the man is not fucking funny, but is still hailed as some sort of genius. Ali G was shite, Borat, shite, Bruno, will be shite. Look at his face in the pictures?! He's even Blue Fucking Steeling!!!!
I just want him to stop existing and go away from where my eyes can see him.

I totally see that!

I have never seen Borat and have no desire to, this Bruno bullshit looks awful! But I do love the pic with the baby, because that baby has charisma and he DOES look like he wants to punch SBC in the face, and who can blame him for that.
