The awesome fantastic Fug Girls, writing for Vulture, have compiled ten television cameos guaranteed to boost ratings. Scott Speedman on “Running Wilde,” and Dawson on “Fringe,” are among the gems. (Vulture)
In case you missed Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, here are the ten worst lines of the film, and there were plenty to choose from. (FilmDrunk)
Rachel Bilson, who is not Mila Kunis and don’t you forget that, has signed on to BFF and Baby, an indie comedy starring Krysten Ritter and Kate Bosworth. It’s about two best friends who fight to maintain normalcy in their friendship after one of them has a baby. It also has a heinous title. (Variety)
Jonathon Levine, he of The Wackness fame, is set to direct Little Girl Lost based on a crime novel about a private dick who discovers his high school girlfriend has become a stripper, and is now dead. He journeys to the seedy side to find the man responsible. Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) will pen the script. (THR)
Another day, another Steve Carell project. Now he’s attached to star, produce, and sing in Of All the Things, based on the music documentary about Dennis Lambert. (Variety)
Paul Haggis is in talks to direct the television remake of “The Equalizer,” which has Russell Crowe attached to star. (THR)
Mackenzie Foy, the cute little girl below, is apparently set to play Edward and Bella’s love child in Breaking Dawn.
“Mad Men’s” Jared Harris is the surprising choice to play Moriarity in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes sequel, after rumors that a bigger name, like Brad Pitt, would take the role. And in case you can’t place that name with the face, here he is:
Brett Ratner is attached to the umpteenth project that he’ll probably never direct, this one about Charles Robert Jenkins, a POW during the Korean war who was forced to play an evil American in Korean propaganda films and became something of a celebrity over there. (Variety)
This will probably only be fun for you that were of age in 1989, but here’s a recreation of Bobby Brown’s “Every Little Step” video featuring Wayne Brady and Mike Tyson. You’ll think to yourself, “Why would I want to watch that?” But it will suck you in. Sometimes, there’s nothing more beautifully absurd than a faithful recreation.
Please, God, make this not true! No remake of The Equalizer!

1. Jared Harris will probably do a damn good job.
2. the nice thing about Brett Ratner being attached to so many projects is the immense feeling that you've dodged a bullet when each project evaporates.

Jared Harris is actually how I always kind of pictured Moriarty, so that is really fantastic. Using Brad Pitt (as much as I like the guy) would have been a travishamockery.
and i think i will skip that vid precisely because i was of age in '89

If your child has multiple PR shots available to announce her acceptance into a movie role, something is just not right.

He looks really "Moriartyish" that man..I like it!
Jared Harris in the BBC-series "Sherlock" would have been even better.
My only objection to that series.
Not a good enough Moriarty.
Robert Downey JR and Jude Law are good in the movie(sort of), but they are running around being cheeky and "Guy Ritchie-funny" too much.
This guy(Harris) seems like he means it judging from the picture alone, and Robert Downey better step out of his comfort zone.
Or they could just as well cast Robin Williams or Jerry Lewis?

Oooh, it's Pryce! Good choice. The man has a mighty Eyebrow of Doom.
Oh, heck yes, Jared Harris!! His turn as David Robert Jones in Fringe tells me exactly what I need to know to have a little geek-out over him as Moriarty. His eyebrows alone are talented enough to do that role perfectly.

Thank you, Mike Tyson, for dispelling the myth that all Black people can dance.

I'm all over this Jonathan Levine news. I'm licking it and going "aaaarng" loudly and it's uncomfortable for everyone.

Oh, and that kid is far too artfully tousled for her age. And that look reminds me of my great aunt Dovie, only without the snuff stains.

Really? I LOVED the Moriarty of the series. I think it's a really, really fun take on it all.

I saw Jared Harris as Hamlet once. I was twelve years old, and didn't actually understand a damn word of it, but to this day I still remember the way I felt during the ghost scenes-- which were projections (totally groundbreaking 10 years ago) of Richard Harris.
That production is why I am an actor now, and every time I see Jared Harris in anything, I feel this strange little thrill of gratitude.
And then I'm a little repulsed by how icky he somehow makes me feel. It's like a banana slug all over my insides!

Wayne Brady rocked. And I'm dying laughing over the biker shorts and the wee little red socks.
That was amazing, and I vividly remember watching the video for that and "My Prerogative" at a slumber party in 4th grade.

I just found out that Jared Harris is Richard Harris' son and it ROCKED MY WORLD. You go, Pryce.
Posted by: coveredinbees at September 30, 2010 2:33 AM
@ Coveredinbees: you can actually hear it when he speaks, sometimes! They have pretty similar, hoarse, whisper-y voices. :) Pretty cool. (Couldn't they have gotten Jared to play Dumbledore? ;))
I love that he's Moriarty! An excellent actor and not TOO well-known that his fame takes over the part! :D

Give Mike a break on the dancing, he's been hit in the head a bunch. Motor skills been downgraded in that area of skill clearly. The video still topped my night yesteday tho! Here's hoping for that 'Wreck-n-Effect' remake/sequel, party jam of 1994...
I didn't realize Jared Harris was Richard Harris' son. I just went and looked him up on Wikipedia. Damn, he's played some diverse parts. I agree with autunmwind3. His eyebrows could outact Brad Pitt's entire body.

What it said:

What I read:
Mackenzie Foy, the cute little girl below, is apparently set to play Edward and Bella’s love child in Breaking BAD.
I was all kinda confused.
Also Jared Harris as Moriarity... abso-freakin-lutely!

I want to spread Joshua Jackson on a Wheat Thin and swallow him down.
