HAHAHAHHA! WTF with the logo at the end? hahahhahaha

Posted by: BWeaves at November 5, 2008 11:17 AM

I am pleased.

See...see?! This is exactly what I tell people who can't understand why I dislike Nick Cage movies!!! I love this site so hard. If I hadn't caught a cold from germy coworkers this week would be cherry.

Posted by: sunnysideup at November 5, 2008 11:46 AM

Sofi, my boss is buying me lunch because I have to go tell her students class is cancelled because she's hungover. Today RULES!
Oh, and this, was beautiful.

Posted by: jamiepants at November 5, 2008 11:54 AM

Love it!

ok. question: is that montage of celebrity PSA for something ELSE? or did they actually decide to ask people not to watch Nick Cage movies?

And i have a special heart in my place for Wicker Man, because it lead to one of the best reviews on this site and possibly the best review title ever to have existed : Dude, this is the worst Lilith fair ever.

Posted by: sara at November 5, 2008 11:59 AM

No we shouldn't.

Posted by: branded at November 5, 2008 12:03 PM

I feel like Nick Cage makes movies I love or hate. There is no Nick Cage middle ground. Is it possible there are two Nick Cages?

Posted by: becks at November 5, 2008 12:11 PM

I really liked 8mm. Watch that movie on a handful of Vicodin and a handle of vodka, and you have the most awesome date ever.

Posted by: Dagon at November 5, 2008 12:14 PM

Mr. Dagon, are you trying to seduce me?

Posted by: becks at November 5, 2008 12:23 PM

I've actually watched thirty-six seconds of that movie where his head catches on fire. What was it called? I've blocked it out like my early childhood traumas...please Mommy not the hose agai...what? Huh? Oh right.. after thirty-six seconds I developed a burning sensation in a particular area of my body. Needless to say I was in the bathroom for a good 36 hours.

You see, Nic Cage movies do damage in degrees of magnitude.

(Nic Cage X time viewed)squared X 1000 = time in pain.

Teeheeteeheeteehee.

Man. That was the best.

Though I do have a special place in my heart for ConAir until the end when it goes all higgedly-piggedly to retardville.

saraHonestly, I couldn't tell if they spliced in the celebs from a legit PSA or not. I know that Eva Longoria has done stuff for Funny or Die in the past. Not sure about some of the other folks.

Posted by: Alabamapink at November 5, 2008 12:33 PM

I'm so busted. I love "Con Air". Um, and "Gone in 60 Seconds".

Although, maybe it's because I love Buscemi and Angeline. In which case, I feel totally vindicated.

I have to say something. Today I bought some cereal, some real good tasty cereal, like $2.96 a box cereal. And even though euphoria is still riding high after last night, I'm starting to get a little sick so I wanted some cereal. Anywho, I got home opened up my cereal, poured it into a bowl, got my milk (because my family came up this weekend and I had to make a pie, otherwise I wouldn't have any) and looked at the date. Motherfucking 10/31. That feeling I felt for just a moment, was the feeling I feel about Nic Cage. SO disappointed. You are like rotten milk Nic Cage! Rotten milk to my tasty cereal of life!
Ps. Today in theatre 101(they spell it fancy, not theater) they presented a real life "light show" put on by the "light show" class. First song performed was motherfucking Dune song, talking about "spice." Third song, omg- Dr. Horrible Sing-A-Long song. No one but me seemed to know what it was. I hate stupid GBP.

For those of you still confused: the celeb footage came from Steven Spielberg's voting video. These fellas quite ingeniously spliced themselves into the video.

Posted by: Vermillion at November 5, 2008 1:27 PM

Deeeeeeelightful.

I'm not much of a Cage fan. Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas....um that's about it. I guess there has to be a gerund in the title for me to be interested.

Posted by: Rubble44 at November 5, 2008 1:30 PM

I want to take his face... off.

Posted by: Lucas at November 5, 2008 1:54 PM

Why has everyone neglected to mention Adaptation? Or is it due to some sort of good-movie nullifying effect that the rest of Nick Cage's um, "career" has inflicted upon the rest of ye?

Posted by: pancho at November 5, 2008 2:13 PM

I second the hate for Nic Cage and the love for the video. Does anyone else get really annoyed when celebrities get all politics-y? I'm always like "Oh go fucking cry in front of a camera, you twats! Who asked for your opinion?!"

Oh I just remembered...I liked Lord of War. Yeah, that's it. I remember watching ConAir as a kid and thinking that he looks weird.

Posted by: Joker at November 5, 2008 2:20 PM

My Cage Rage is well known among my friends. Maybe someday I will successfully turn them against him. They wanted to see Bangkok Dangerous. It took all of my charm to turn them away. All of it.

Posted by: Optimus Rhyme at November 5, 2008 2:56 PM

Fucking great.

Posted by: Audiosuede at November 5, 2008 3:08 PM

Becks, I also have the 5th Element, a fistful of Soma and six bottles of Bailey's.

I usually save that for date #3.

Posted by: Dagon at November 5, 2008 3:21 PM

I hate admitting this, but sometimes I love Nicholas Cage. Some of those times I can at least marginally defend--Lord of War, Adaptation, Raising Arizona--and others (The Rock, Moonstruck, and ESPECIALLY Con Air) I just have to shrug ashamedly the way I do when I admit I prefer Velveeta mac and cheese to home-made.

Although I wish he would STOP TRYING TO DO ACCENTS. He is not good at any of them. Also, something needs to be done about his hair--he is not fooling anybody.

Posted by: Siege at November 5, 2008 4:39 PM

Agreed, except for one movie no one has mentioned yet: Adaptation.

Lord of war was also pretty good

Posted by: the_wakeful at November 5, 2008 6:08 PM

Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas, Lord of War, Matchstick Men and ConAir (don't lie) were all varying degrees of good.

THE BEES THE BEES THEY'RE IN MY EYES. MY EYES.

Look up wicker man scenes on youtube, best laugh ever.

Posted by: Devo at November 5, 2008 6:28 PM

National Treasure rules. I agree with everything else though :)

Posted by: Kim at November 5, 2008 10:16 PM

Umm, they spliced in celeb clips from those "Hollywood Declares Themselves" things. Which were fucking hilarious, as well.
