Here is your first look at James Gunn’s Super, which will be debuting that the Toronto International Film Festival. But, first, here’s a synopsis, which will in no real way add substantive context to the image:

When sad sack Frank D’Arbo (Rainn Wilson) sees his ex-addict wife (Liv Tyler) willingly snatched by a seductive drug dealer (Kevin Bacon), he finds himself unable to cope. But when the finger of God blesses his brain (don’t ask), D’Arbo decides to fight back under the guise of a DIY superhero called Crimson Bolt. In order to get his wife back, he must first fight his way up the criminal ranks, and he begins by taking a monkey wrench to the foreheads of a couple who cut in line at the movies. As Crimson Bolt begins to make the headlines, a young woman from the local comic book store (Ellen Page) joins in on the fun as his sexually charged sidekick, Boltie.

Here’s the first full clip from Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere, which is a complete waste of time to watch, but at least Michelle Monaghan looks pretty. (Reelz Channel)

You know, for someone who says she doesn't want to take roles that just enable the male main character, Ellen Page sure seems to do just that a lot.

Also, Rainn Wilson and Liv Tyler? Bit out of his league, isn't she?

Yes. Attractive women are never attracted to average men. Ever. It's the little known 11th commandment (Moses ommited that shit because motherfucker was butt-ass ugs).

I didn't know they cast a girl as D'Artagnan. Intersting casting choice.

Can we also go ahead and separate the Paul Andersons properly?

Paul W.S. Anderson = Paul Anderson the Lesser
Paul Thomas Anderson = Paul Anderson the Superior.

Done. No more confusion.

I'm just wondering why they didn't show Athos, Porthos, or Aramis in those photos.

Budget cuts DiestBrawler... it'll be one Musketeer, a girl, and a talking horse... all rendered in 3D.

I saw Mads Mikkelsen and got excited, Mads again and got a bit turned on, then the kid from Percy Jackson and I went "Oh the hell with this".
What in the name of God were they thinking? They got Matthew MacFayden and Ray Stevenson and freaking Christopher Waltz (and ok Orlando Bloom but he'll be in the movie for 4 minutes max) and they cast Logan Lerman as D'Artagnan HOLLYWOOD WHAT THE FUCK THE KID CAN'T ACT, THE KID LOOKS LIKE HE CAN'T FEED HIMSELF PROPERLY LET ALONE WIPE HIS OWN ASS ok sorry I'm done.

Do you think that is the first time the words "sexually charged" and "Ellen Page" have been used in the same sentence?
