The Two Dumbest Trade News Bits of the Day

Fox is making “Mr. Ed” into a movie. Some days I hope southern California just gets hit by an asteroid. And I live there.

Also, rumors have surfaced that not only will there be not one but two more goddamned entries in the interminable and undying The Fast and the Furious franchise, but that they will be filmed back to back. The first time I heard of that being done was when I was a kid and the second two Back to the Future movies went down that way because of all the reuse of sets and actors due to the time travel. That made sense. This? Is it cheaper to buy the cars that will get blowed up in bulk but expensive to store them for a couple of years?

The follow ups to Fast 5 are being called Fast 6 and Fast 7 in case you were wondering if any creativity seeped in there by accident. And frankly I’m just surprised the producers can count to seven all by themselves.

But that’s not the dumbest part of the dumb news. No that is reserved for the rumor that Jason Statham will be in both films. Why they gotta do that to the Statham?

It never quite seemed impossible given his work on The Expendable Crankporter.

Also, they can make this more dumber (maybe F6st? 7ast?). They have the doltechnology.
