The Trailer for Joaquin Phoenix's Scientology Flick, The Master, Doesn't Strike Me as Very Scientology-y

There's been a lot of indie buzz on Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master for quite a while. The film, Anderson's first since There Will Be Blood, stars Joaquin Phoenix, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Laura Dern. The film takes place after World War II, and it's about religion called "The Cause" which has been compared to Scientology.

This trailer doesn't offer a lot of detail, but it is wacky in a terrifying kind of way.

Oh, and welcome back to straight acting, Joaquin. Kind of.
