I completely forgot that there will be another Die Hard movie, the fifth in the series. It'll be released on Valentine's Day 2013, and the 25-year-old franchise has been handed over to John Moore, best known as the director of Max Payne. Jai Courtney will play Willis' son -- the other half of the buddy equation in this installment -- and Cole Hauser is the big mean old villain this time out.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • Shouldn't it be: 'A Good Day To Die, Hard' ?

  • ,

Why does this keep happening to me?

  • PuraPuma

People don't see this trailer and think "Oscar" right? I mean... who cares. The trailer was so fun. Boom! Crash! Explode! That sums up the movies just fine. I can't wait.

  • Bernie

I don't care what anyone says, I loved Die Hard four and I already know I'm going to love this.

  • Clancys_Daddy

Awwww what the hell, fire it up and let her rip.

  • Word. Crank that puppy UP!

  • 'I completely forgot that there will be another Die Hard movie'
No you didn't. Because no, there won't. Nope.

  • googergieger

Honey, it's always a good day to die hard.

    *two snaps in a circle*

  • Idle Primate

i love die hard movies, and really, anything with Bruce Willis, and yet this trailer seemed so lifeless, like it was trying to talk me out of being excited for more die hard.

btw, i love this new one's title

I was 15 when i saw the first. Why do filmmakers care about age ratings, theatres don't.

  • AudioSuede

    FTW

  • Odnon.

As long as he swears this time. Does he swear this time?
'Splosions without swearing is like a day without sunshine.

  • Aeryn

Haha! Loved this. I am a sucker for John McClain no matter how lame it looks. Glad to see the white shirt is back. Loved the use of the music in the trailer. Can't believe it's been 25 years. I was 14 and this was one of the first rated R films I went to see with my sister.

  • idiosynchronic

    KABOOM!!!!!111!!!

What else do you need to know?

  • anon

Both the villain and the McCain's sidekick are unknown and frankly, their filmography don't look good. The quality of a DH movie correlates with the quality of its villain (1 > 3 > 2 > 4), so I think 5 will really suck.

  • NynjaSquirrel

You're saying Cole Hauser is unknown? How many movies and TV series does he have to do to become known?

  • He really needs to Die Harder, darling.

  • Zuffle

My wife was born in 1988, just like Die Hard. I really hope she's not 15.

  • JFC. People who were born when my son was six years old have no business being wives already.

  • Zuffle

That's what I say to her pretty much every other day. 'You're only as old as Robocop!' Thankfully, I'm 34, so I get the best of both sanctimonious worlds. And I have greater right to hate the remake, obviously.

  • pajiba

Holy Shit. You're right. It's not that my math is terrible, it's that my brain wouldn't allow me to think that Die Hard is 25 years old. Christ.

  • lowercase_ryan

I'm looking forward to Dead Hard.

  • Zuffle

    Have you seen Clerks?

  • lowercase_ryan

    the first one? of course

  • It's really hard to not squeee at all the 'splosions.

  • NynjaSquirrel

And the hot biker babe who naturally wears next to nothing under the one-piece...

  • Totally missed that. I'm going back in.

  • NynjaSquirrel

Seems it's Julia Snigir and Google is certainly pleased to see her.

  • *Googles*

    Good. GAWD.

    *Buys ticket*
