Will you find the audio off button or click away first? There is, however, a cool little countdown so that you can count the days until the marketing onslaught ends. 248 Days to Go!

The countdown is super annoying but that's a really lovely gif otherwise.

I had never heard of The Hunger Games till reading about the movie plans here so I devoured the series in less than a week and LOVED it. I'm not too sure about the casting but I'm looking forward to seeing this.

Pretty badge there.

Oh noes, it's a burning sound I can easily mute! I'm so utterly annoyed!

Like snapnhiss, I started reading The Hunger Games trilogy after I heard about it here on Pajiba, and I am loving it. So I'm actually pretty excited about the upcoming movie -- and I think the mockingjay pin looks more than good enough.

Just what is the thinking behind wasting money and internet space to advertise a movie being released eight fucking months from now?! How does a studio think a dumbass promo like this is going to bring in one more ticket buyer than it would have, say, eight fucking months from now??!! And if they're going to continue the promotional onslaught of this movie, how many moviegoers are going to be asbolutely sick of hearing about it when it finally premieres EIGHT FUCKING MONTHS FROM NOW???!!!

I fail to see any sustainable logic in this advertising approach: they're presumptuous idiots to be starting this campaign now if the actual movie hasn't even finished filming yet; and if it is finished, one should wonder what kind of cinematic crap they're hoping to whore up with an ad blitz which necessitates holding off release until eight.fucking.months.from.now.

I already hate this damn movie.

Katniss, the girl on fire ...

If this bothers you, GMan, a meager 8 months out, then I wouldn't click on any "Dark Knight Returns" or "Amazing Spider-Man" links on Pajiba.

What?? You mean a movie based on books aimed at the zit cream and cotton panty age differential MIGHT JUST SUCK AFTER ALL ??

Pajiba is losing its edge.

The Harry Potter movies were based on YA novels as well and the movies in general didn't "suck." Try another argument, that one is flaccid.
