The Hangover Part III Trailer: John Goodman Will Have Two Scenes. They Will Be the Best Part

The trailer for this summer’s “epic conclusion” to The Hangover trilogy has arrived and from the looks of it, a funeral brings the fellas back to Vegas, where they’re turn the place upside down again. John Goodman and Melissa McCarthy are both featured in the trailer, probably in roles with very little screen time. But they will almost certainly be the best part of what has become an exhausting franchise.

But yeah: I’ll overlook the terrible sequel and be cautiously optimistic. It’s Thursday. Why the hell not?

  • Hell I'll watch it. But for some inexplicable reason it reminds me of a friend's story about watching Invictus:
    'So I settled down to watch Invictus at about 2am, and I got through the opening rugby bit but then fell asleep. When I woke up the film was ending on another rugby bit. So as far as I'm concerned I just slept through a 90 minute rugby match.'

    It seemed alright, until the implied giraffe decapation ( I even over looked choking the chicken/rooster)... Animal death, never funny.

    Shockingly, that looks terrible. I'm just gonna pretend that there was only ever one Hangover movie. Life is better that way.

    I've become addicted to Roseanne reruns the last couple of weeks and I've slowly developed a small crush on John Goodman. He was the perfect husband. Can any other TV dad seriously live up to Dan Conner? What a lovely, lovely man.

    But I probably won't see Hangover III.

    I'm ashamed to say that I laughed super hard at that. And I felt bad the entire time, because, seriously, there is nothing funny about giraffe cruelty. But I'm still chuckling about it even as I write this.
    Apparently I am a horrible person.
