I Can Feel It Coming in the Air Tonight. Oh Lord.

I’ve made my thoughts on Mike Tyson known around here. He is the scourge of the Earth. A vile, despicable, loathsome man.

That said, this may be his greatest all-time contribution to pop culture. He’s not redeemable in the least, but it is possible for him to make a positive contribution to society. And here he does so, providing the “soundtrack” to the latest trailer for The Hangover. It’s gold, Jerry. Gold!

Can't. Fucking. Wait.

I think the odd casting may be the best part of this. Cool regular guy Bradley Cooper with off-the-map ZG weirdness and Ed Helms' uber-dork straight-face guy.

Okay, breathe. Low expectations, low expectations, low expectations.

This almost happened to my dad. Not in Vegas or with former boxing champions and whatnot, but apparently he was still drunk less than 3 hours before his wedding ceremony and for a while his best man (also his brother) didn't know exactly where he was.

In a nice bit of congruity, he was also drunk when he proposed to my mom and the next morning she gave him the opportunity to take it back. He declined. They've been married 26 years.

Seriously excited about this movie. The more I've seen of it, the more I'm convinced of the brilliance in its casting and simplicity of the concept.

That, and Tyson singing Phil Collins is fucking hilarious. :D

(just sayin, he's still got it.)

I used to love that song, now, Mr. Tyson has made my ears bleed.*

*I was totally going to make a Tyson/rape joke that was in very bad taste. I wonder when I grew a conscious?

Posted by: admin at May 7, 2009 5:24 PM

It's not the first ear he made bleed! Hey-o!

Posted by: Optimus Rhyme at May 7, 2009 5:41 PM

I don't want to get my hopes up, but it looks fucking awesome!

Of course Tyson's despicable, but we have to own up to the fact that it's our fault. We knew he was unstable, but we let him fight anyway. He should have been in a psyche ward long before he was finally put into prison. His only truly redeeming facet is that he served his time, and lost all his money due to his own stupidity.

That said, this was hilarious, and it's good to see that he's calmed down. Back in the 90's, he was the scariest black man not in the N.W.A.

Nice Rhyme, Niiiiiice.

George it's N.W.A., not The N.W.A. Bitches have had assess capped for less.

I'll admit I've been skeptical on this one, but the trailer gives me a shred of cautious hope.

Also, a round of applause for Optimus Rhyme!

That's just quality stuff.

Tough to keep expectations low for too much longer. This is looking like the comedy to beat this summer.

It actually took me a while to warm up to him on The Office, but man, I cannot believe how hard Ed Helms makes me laugh. So looking forward to this!

Posted by: meaux at May 7, 2009 9:21 PM

I LOVE ANDY! I saw comedy show once (at FIT, if you can believe it) with Ed Helms in it and he is so much funnier than he gets the chance to be on that show.

Also, Yay Bradley Cooper- ALIAS PRIDE!

Posted by: dene at May 7, 2009 10:24 PM

Looks good, but didn't they make this movie already? Very Bad Things, I think, where Jeremy Piven kills a hooker by accident.
Anyway, Mike Tyson is loathsome but I can respect anyone willing to put themselves out there for public ridicule. If you can make me laugh, you're ok.

If Zach is in it I will watch it.

Sometimes this works in my favour, and sometimes I end up watching Tru Calling.

I can't fucking wait for this movie. I know I should keep my expectations low, but I can't help it. The trailers have made me squeal with joy. Plus I kind of want to do very bad things (get it) to Bradley Cooper. But only dirty, scruffy, beat up and left in the desert Bradley Cooper.

Posted by: MG at May 8, 2009 12:25 PM

Pretty much what MG just said, except for the part about Bradley Cooper, since I don't bat for the home team, if you know what I mean.

This movie looks like it's made out of nothing but WIN.

conscience.

sorry.

(not really)

Posted by: mastodan at May 9, 2009 12:30 AM

I love Mike Tyson....what's wrong with you guys. Tyson is the funniest man on the earth!!!!

Posted by: Ron Thomas at May 11, 2009 3:52 AM

I will be lined up for this movie the moment it opens. It is not made of WIN.

It is 100% made of TEH AWESOME.

"I’ve made my thoughts on Mike Tyson known around here. He is the scourge of the Earth. A vile, despicable, loathsome man. "

It ignorant scumbag idiots of like you, who dont know anything about people or where they come from that makes this world a worse place.

Honestly, if you knew anything about the man instead of what little garbage you read that shoots you towards a biased opinion then what you type would actually have any meaning.

Tyson is a decent human being, a normal guy like you or me. Watch the documentary Tyson and youll know.
