The Five Best Paul Rudd Dance Sequences

This was supposed to be a post for the second trailer of Dinner for Schmucks, starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd (and even Zach Galifianakis). But then I watched the trailer, and not only was it underwhelming, but I was kind of appalled at all that talent wasted for a Jay Roach movie. Also, in nowhere in the trailer does Paul Rudd dance. What’s the point of casting Paul Rudd if he’s not dancing, people. It’s like hiring Josh Holloway and asking him to keep his shirt on. Or casting Christina Hendricks in a burqa ‘n’ sandals movie. Why?

So, as though to make up for the lack of Rudd dance moves in the Schmucks trailer, I bring you: The Five Best Paul Rudd Dance Sequences.

You’re going to thank me for it.

Astaire would be proud.

"Singin' in the Rain" remake?

The Jon Stewart dance was just unmitigated sex. He was molesting the audience with his moves.

Now Tayne I could get into.

Paul Rudd has the best 'The Carlton' since Alfonso Ribeiro

Paul Rudd seems like such a swell guy. I bet he's a great hugger.

Also, how does he manage to dance so fantastically awkward, but not make me feel any second hand embarrassment? I watch some of the Glee dance sequences and I cringe with embarrassment for them, but with Rudd, I'm just awash with joy. He's like CuteOverload in human form.

Delicious! I can only see two of the videos at work but considering the strain of not laughing it's probably best.

There is no way for me to talk about Paul Rudd without invoking the dreaded Bunk.

Computer, load up "Celery Man", please.

Posted by: the new transported man at June 3, 2010 11:23 AM

Paul Rudd can knock me up anytime ;-)

Posted by: scorzi at June 3, 2010 11:33 AM

Paul Rudd is just made of adorable, with 3/5 funny and 4/5 cute. Yeah, math is not my 110% best subject.

Posted by: lainiefig at June 3, 2010 11:45 AM

Can we get a nude Tayne?

Posted by: Nimue at June 3, 2010 11:49 AM

Dammit I will cry into my Vino and my Gin and eat Cheesecake!

Posted by: Nieve 'The Threadkiller Queen' at June 3, 2010 12:17 PM

As a woman who married a magnificent cheesy bastard, I can only applaud Rudd in all his glory.

Posted by: Mrs. Julien at June 3, 2010 12:35 PM

Paul Rudd has personality. I mean, he's not exatly like Godzilla, but you get my meaning.

The Jon Stewart dance was just unmitigated sex. He was molesting the audience with his moves.

It's not molestation if it's everything you ever wanted. Or if he buys you ice cream after.

The Jon Stewart dance was just unmitigated sex.

Agree 110%.

I can't even come up with words to describe how happy he makes me.
Even though I've seen all of these before (cause who hasn't youtubed this doll to see him dance?!) I still might just bookmark this page.
Thank you thank you thank you

Though I think you've made the Rudd on my I Love You Man poster blush

Um, hello, where is his dancing from Clueless? The first time we witnessed the awesomeness of his awkwardness and it's ability to make all women fall for him?

Posted by: ClaireAllison at June 3, 2010 5:06 PM

Um, hello, where is his dancing from Clueless?

^ This.

While all of the above are collectively an order of cool beans smothered in awesome sauce, that ain't all of his coolness. Clueless is the one DVD I own (and that number might be expanding after seeing that Starbucks scene again) in which Rudd features somewhat prominently.

Posted by: Rykker at June 3, 2010 7:34 PM

Romeo + Juliet was out before Clueless, and he was busting some awesomely smooth moves in there.

I just put I could Never Be Your Woman on Netflix just because of that. I LOVE PAUL RUDD.

Posted by: dene at June 4, 2010 12:04 AM

Gud gawd, I go away for one weekend and you bring the heat...

SWOON, HEARTS AFIRE, Can I change my survey answer from RDJ to Rudd? Maybe just a tramp stamp that says "RUDD 4Evah"
