The First 'True Detective' Season 2 Script Is Done, and Our Dreams of a Female Lead Are Crushed
The long wait for news of True Detective’s second season has left us with nothing but false rumors and quickly crushed dreams, and it looks like our hopes for one or more female leads is no exception. The first “official” bit of news about the cast Nic Pizzolatto has in store for us is in the form of a short, bittersweet tweet:
Since Pizzolatto previously stated “Right now, we’re working with three leads,” we could glean from this tweet that a) everything has changed, or b) this is what he meant by three leads — one overall lead, and two sort of sub-leads. But if things keep going the way they have been, whatever our presumptions, they’ll probably be wrong. Maybe everything is a lie.
In summary, we know nothing, Nic Pizzolatto…but we’d really like to.
