"Say hello to my little friend" indeed.

I think the devil would be smart enough to not try and use guns made out of gold. And to not look like the stupidest X-man of all time.

Posted by: Three-nineteen at April 20, 2011 11:05 AM

The crotch on those pants is INSANE.

Posted by: MelBivDevoe at April 20, 2011 11:15 AM

The plot synopsis from iMDB makes the poster all the more perplexing:

Bagdad, the playground for the rich and infamous, where anything can be bought - but for a price. This is Uday Hussein's world and with his depraved lust for debauchery and immorality, he helps himself to whatever turns him on. When army lieutenant Latif Yahia, is summoned to Saddam's palace, he is faced with an impossible request - to be Uday's 'fiday' - his body double, or have his family condemned to death. In a world entrenched in betrayal and corruption knowing who to trust becomes a matter of life or death for Latif, as he battles to escape from his forced existence.

So, Goldfinger meets Syriana?

Posted by: Mrs. Julien at April 20, 2011 11:15 AM

Mel, before I got to your name, I was sure you would be my orange-tinted friend Michael.

Posted by: Nina Garcia at April 20, 2011 11:18 AM

It's insane, this guy's taint.

Posted by: Uncle Mikey at April 20, 2011 11:25 AM

Hee, Nina, I find your friend to be very quotable.

Posted by: MelBivDevoe at April 20, 2011 11:27 AM

"where anything can be bought - but for a price."

Well yeah, that kind of goes without saying. Sheesh.

Posted by: snapnhiss at April 20, 2011 11:29 AM

"What do you get a prince who has everything?"

A JOB?

The gold guns remind me of the time I flipped past QVC and they were selling "The World's Hardest Gold" (TM). I don't know, it was maybe 1 karat. It became a running joke in my family for years.

Posted by: BWeaves at April 20, 2011 11:49 AM

Guy looks like he should be selling Direct TV, except for the fact that he doesn't have an adorable mini giraffe.

Posted by: Kaleena at April 20, 2011 11:56 AM

Perhaps his giraffe was on order before the regime fell. It might be for the best as his house hippo was all but abandoned in the chaos.

Posted by: Mrs. Julien at April 20, 2011 11:58 AM

Maybe the house hippo sought shelter in his crotch?

Posted by: Kaleena at April 20, 2011 12:26 PM

I don't... wait. Is he sitting on a chair that's set on a staircase? That just seems unsafe, if you ask me.

And shouldn't it be "what do you get for the prince WHO has everything"?

There's so much to be puzzled about here.

I'm puzzled, I tell you.

Posted by: Exploding Head Syndrome at April 20, 2011 12:32 PM

I shall now refer to this movie simply as "Goldencrotch".

Posted by: Figgy at April 20, 2011 12:45 PM

All this poster needs are some doves which have been spray-painted gold flying through the background. They don't even need to be able to actually fly; they could just be tossed through the shot.

Quick! To the photoshopmobile!

Devil's Double: The Taintening

Posted by: Paultera at April 20, 2011 1:44 PM

Every time I have glanced at this poster, I keep thinking it reads "The Devil's Douche," which seems like an appropriate mistake.

Posted by: bonnie at April 20, 2011 1:58 PM

Pump the brakes--

House Hippo?

Posted by: The Gay at April 20, 2011 2:00 PM

As the FUG girls are so fond of saying, "Satin is not your friend."

Posted by: BWeaves at April 20, 2011 2:01 PM

Looks like every wannabe rapper's cd cover for the last 15 years.

I didn't realize this was about Uday till I read the article. Ups the interest level a bit for me.

Posted by: Protoguy at April 20, 2011 3:31 PM

Pretty sure we can identify the camera man by his reflection in that guy's balls.
Is that how he advertises himself: sneaking into the frame in his work via stealth
and balls?

Posted by: ShagEaredVillain at April 20, 2011 4:16 PM

So, this is about Uday Hussein, an Iraqi, but he's being played by a white guy?

Why, I oughtta....

Posted by: MM at April 20, 2011 5:50 PM

So this guy only gets to be the freakin' stand in?

It's "Moon Over Parador" but with more figs and less Sammy Davis, Jr.

"The Double Douche" is more like it.

Posted by: bleujayone at April 20, 2011 10:35 PM

The Gay, you can find the North American House Hippo right here.

Posted by: Uda at April 21, 2011 1:40 AM

Excellent shout-out to the most believable thing on TV Kaleena! You are a true Canadian.
