I used to think I was somewhat of a comic book geek, but then they ran out of the comic books I’d heard of to adapt to films, so either they’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel or I’m not nearly the nerd I thought I was. Case in point: Platinum Studios is adapting a comic book called Weapon into a film. Dig a little bit and you realize that the comic is also published by Platinum and that it was written by the CEO of Platinum. Is this even a real company?
Oh, and they got the kid from “Wizards of Waverly Place” to star.
I can’t decide if I’m laughing or crying more, it reminds me of senior prom.
Here’s a great headline that teases you a bit before stomping on your balls: “Trek writer will adapt a vampire tale for Ridley Scott.” Sounds tempting until you read the fine print and find out they mean the writer of Star Trek: Nemesis.
