The important thing here to note is that Amy Poehler and Parks and Recreation have been nominated, as has Brooklyn Nine-Nine. More importantly, Tatiana Maslany finally gets some awards love from a major organization. Sadly, my favorite film of the year, Short Term 12 is nowhere to be seen, nor is its lead actress, Brie Larson.

As far as snubs go, the best new show of the year, Orange is the New Black, did not get nominated, though its weakest character, Taylor Schilling, did. Arrested Development was also shut out, save for Jason Bateman’s nomination, while Kevin Spacey and the cast of House of Cards fared very well, along with a nomination for the show. Masters of Sex also landed a nomination in its first year, but sadly, Dowton Abbey beat out far superior series, like Justified (no nominations in any category) and Boardwalk Empire. Even The Walking Dead is better than Downton, and it also got shut out.

Also, WHERE THE F**K IS MAD MEN? And Game of Thrones? No nominations in any category? No Hamm? No Elisabeth Moss, though she did get one for Top of the Lake? No Dinklage? What is even going on here?

As for the movie nominations, they are fairly predictable (most of these I had on my Oscar prediction list two months ago), although James Gandolfini was sadly snubbed in the Best Actor category for Enough Said, and the Coen Brothers and Martin Scorsese were basically the odd men out in a great year for directing efforts.

Here’s the complete list. Rage or delight away.
