Whatever happened with that Back to the Future reunion?

Posted by: JP at October 21, 2010 10:07 AM

The man is just a fuckin tease...

Posted by: logan at October 21, 2010 10:11 AM

Mmmmmmmm, nice.

Yet I wonder if 90% of the Gen D-bags in that audience have even seen the original Ghostbusters much less recognize ANY of the actors Murray mentioned, maybe John Candy. Then look at him wearing that silly costume, TOO FUCKING OLD FOR THAT SHIT MAN. That movie is going to be a disaster.

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at October 21, 2010 10:13 AM

So I'm a fucking heretic, but I've never liked Bill Murray.

From his time on SNL forward, he's done absolutely nothing for me.

So...

Meh

Posted by: Uncle JR at October 21, 2010 10:17 AM

Are the original cast members going to play the Ghostbusters or the ghosts?

Posted by: Craig at October 21, 2010 10:19 AM

Oh, also:

You can tell it wasn't a legitimate award ceremony because Twilight won things.

Posted by: Craig at October 21, 2010 10:20 AM

They invented "Best Cameo" just to have an excuse to have Murray show up, didn't they?

And when does a "cameo" stop being a "cameo"? I mean, Murray had like five full minutes of screen time in "Zombieland," and I think of a cameo as more like five seconds. His was more of an "uncredited appearance," but I guess "Best Uncredited Appearance" would be too many syllables for the target "Twilight" audience for this show to synthesize.

Posted by: , at October 21, 2010 10:33 AM

There are seven syllables in "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" and there are eight syllables in "Best Uncredited Appearance". Seven is only one less than eight. So, yeah, your logic seems to hold up, comma.

I can understand why someone wouldn't have even a slight appreciation for Bill Murray. What I can't understand is what it must be like not to laugh, Uncle JR. You poor, poor man.

Jesus Christ! I hope someone in that family of his would stop thinking about all the money he could make from a new Ghostbusters movie and get him some help. I mean seriously, the guy looks old and sad, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s suffering from some form of dementia.

p.s. in looking at that audience I doubt if most of them were even born when Ghostbusters came out.

Posted by: Pookie at October 21, 2010 11:13 AM

I wasn't born when it came out...I don't even think my parents were married yet, but I absolutely love it. And a lot of people seem to dislike the second one...but I love that one too.

Is Bill Murray the coolest person that ever lived?

Posted by: John W at October 21, 2010 2:40 PM

The awards were fairly entertaining. Sigourney came out of an Alien egg/pod and seemed high off her ass. She said it was "so fucking cool" to be there.
Also, True Blood won some awards, and Skarsgard won some individual award (Best Villain?) Anyway -any excuse to look at that man is worth my time.

Posted by: ninetwenteetoo at October 21, 2010 4:34 PM

That made my day. Bill Murray is the best.

Posted by: sosumi at October 21, 2010 4:49 PM

The award season started gloriously for The Human Centipede!

Posted by: schmerpes at October 21, 2010 5:26 PM

"Most Memorable Mutilation"? Their mommas must be so proud!

Posted by: lingli at October 21, 2010 5:41 PM

For someone who is as big a Sci-Fi/Horror/Fantasy/Trash fan as I, you'd think these awards would be right up my alley. But no - they are the only awards more pointless than the MTV Movie Awards. Seriously, if World's Greatest Grandpa was somehow made into a real award, it would still have more credibility.

Bill Murray thanking the dead in his acceptance speech was pretty spooky and not just the dead but who the dead were is what bothers me because he named old co-actors (ssome buddies). I hope Bill Murray's okay. Hope he's not planning to add his name to that list anytime soon.

Most Memorable Mutilation: “The Human Centipede”

Well, at least it was "medically accurate".

Posted by: Uriah Creep at October 21, 2010 10:52 PM

COMPLETE list? True Blood won 2 awards as well.
