Let's just go ahead and start referring to him as Andrew Giraffe. Okay.

Girl = swan like

Boy = Serengeti

I'd still hit it.

Okay, now I'm re-convinced Donald Glover needs to be our new Spider-Man. Make Andrew Giraffe the new Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the inevitable Twilightified Fantastic Four reboot. Boom.

I'm sensing an SRL showing the ever-growing list of stars being compared to animals... we already have an Emu and and a Giraffe, three or four more and we're golden!

At first I was like, "What, no evisceration?" And then the giraffe.

To be honest, I'm liking this reboot more and more the more shots of it I see. I was totally against the inanity of having another reboot Spiderman movie so soon after the last ones, but... I... may be turning to the dark side a little here. He's got his web slingy shooty buttons, he looks a lot more like what I personally imagined of Peter Parker, and even though I still think Emma Stone would have made a FAR better Mary Jane, it's awesome that they're starting in the right chronological girlfriend order this time with Gwen Stacy.

I've seen a lot of hilarious associations between Andrew Garfield and Bambi before... But this one is pretty fitting as well.

Either way, I am exciiiiited for this reboot. No offense Tobey Maguire... But this boy is something FINE.

so no one thinks dat this was photoshopped? cmon, ppl!

Posted by: haplo at May 3, 2011 1:32 PM

Is it me or is this Garfield guy a dead ringer for Anthony Perkins. A taller, ganglier Anthony Perkins, granted, but still...

Posted by: Irving Washington at May 3, 2011 1:37 PM

That's not photoshopped. Boy has one long neck.

Posted by: Andrew at May 3, 2011 2:04 PM

so i wanted to prove to Andrew how Garfield can't have such a ridonkulous neck and image googled him and Holy SHIT!

Posted by: haplo at May 3, 2011 2:10 PM

Oh thank goodness. I have been freaked out by this kid's neck since I first saw him a couple of years ago. No one else seemed to notice!

Why? Why was no one saying anything? Was I going crazy?

Thank you, random internet website, for validating me.

Aww, yeah.

This'll do nicely.

Posted by: Laurie at May 3, 2011 11:32 PM

that just doesn't look like peter parker. and what's with the skateboard? and did nerdy peter parker ever employ sweaters with thumbholes in the cuff? or army surplus jacket? is he being rebooted as the broody outcast? the snivelly rebel?

sigh.

the hydraulic neck is the least of the problems with that image
