Details on American Horror Story’s fourth season have started creeping out from beneath the rotten floorboards; last week writer Douglas Petrie confirmed a carnival setting and today, Ryan Murphy tweeted the title:

Here’s the official information thus far:

“Set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950, Freak Show finds Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S. Her group of “unusuals”? Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy all play performers whom Lange’s character has rescued; Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also in talks to return. Freak Show’s 13 episodes will track this group as they do anything to keep their business around.” (EW)

Well guys, this could be great…or it could go Coven. I’m already seeing Denis O’Hare as a (*insert screaming here*) creepy clown…

He’s so great at being evil—remember this?

I just hope Murphy gives him more screen time and…you know, a working tongue? This would also be a good time to bring back ChloĆ« Sevigny, and since her new show already bit the dust, she’s free.

I’m a teensy bit disappointed we’re not headed to Roswell, but I’ll work it out.

Cindy Davis, (Twitter) is a little bit geek, a little bit freak.
