A Boondock Saint Goes to Space

If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume this was going straight to DVD or the Syfy Channel (or as a commenter brilliantly called it recently, the Syphilis Channel),

Sean Patrick Flannery and someone named Louise Linton have been cast in an indie science fiction thriller called Scavengers. The plot synopsis, according to Dark Horizons, is as follows:

When the crew of the Revelator, led by Emerson (Linton), comes across the alien-created Chaos Generator, they must fight to keep it out of the hands of her former shipmate, the sinister Captain Jekel (Flanery).

A little bit of Serenity, a little bit of Event Horizon, and who knows. It’s being directer by first-timer Travis Nicholas Zariwny, although I couldn’t find out who the production company is. Linton has a pretty small resume, appearing in some TV procedurals, and of course Flannery was in the infamously overrated Boondock Saints (not saying it’s bad, mind you, just overrated).

Anyway, what’s really important is what the hell is a Chaos Generator, and where can I get one? Actually, I think we already have one. We call it Brian Prisco.

Please, tip your waitress.

Guess Who! would also fall under the category of "Chaos Generator" when discussing women, relationships, sex, race, Tyler Perry, life, sex again, age, vaginas, and Tyler Perry.

When I read about this yesterday, I was trying to remember which Saint he was. Thanks for the picture, now I know.

I use my chaos generator to make singularity smoothies. A little time travel, some paradoxes, Schrodinger's cat and some frozen yogurt. Blend until smooth. There's only a 50/50 chance the cat is actually in it.

The first thing that came to mind for me was Butters' "Perfesser Chaos". I think it would be some kind of wonderful if the Chaos generator was powered by a 4th grader with an evil laugh and a tinfoil hat.

They already have that on T.V., it's called The Glenn Beck Show

Simple Chaos Theory example:

A butterfly in the Brazilian rain-forest flaps its wings causing a Pajiban in North America to lose a testicle and then.... Global Thermonuclear War.

Personally, I'm just really excited about how many gorgeous blondes will be spaceship captains in the future. I hope somebody can figure out cryogenics so I'm around to see such a day.

What's a Chaos Generator? Don't any of you people have kids?

the sinister Captain Jekel

I see the screenwriter was wearing his subtle cap that day.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

So I read the headline as THE Boondock Saints go to Space and my immediate thought was, "hey, really, like the muppets? does that mean Flannery's kermit (cause he's the one we pay to see, and by we I mean me before his face went all melty) and the other one's Fozzie with the stupid comic relief and is Billy Connolly Gonzo? Please let there be a music number!"

And I was disappointed.

Also, I have too many thoughts.

It's not "a little bit Serenity" unless it's got a little bit of Nathan Fillion in it.
