After the shocking success of The LEGO Movie it was announced that a new LEGO film focusing on Will Arnett’s caped crusader would be coming in 2017. It was already announced that Michael Cera would be playing Robin but we just found out that Rosario Dawson will be voicing Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl for the film. On one hand, this is a great decision because Dawson has a fantastic voice and experience with voice acting for DC properties. The downside? Not getting to see Rosario Dawson actually BE Batgirl. Because I would happily pony up my $10-13 dollars to see a Batgirl that looked like this in the theater.

LEGO Batman still isn’t coming out until 2016 and in the meantime Dawson will be busy as Claire Temple in Netflix’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage series.
