Robert Downey, Jr. is making the rounds this week, out in support of The Human Centipede Iron Man 2, and since he's being forced to answer questions, he's confirming some stories, saying a lot of stupid stuff, and being generally charming. Here's a quick rundown of a few of the RDJ nuggets so far this week:

  • In an interview with Moviehole, RDJ said that the forthcoming Todd Phillips-directed comedy, Due Date, in which he stars alongside Zack Galifianakis, is the "second greatest movie I've ever done."

"I've seen the movie. It's like the second greatest movie I've ever done - largely due to Zach Galifianakis, who is crazy good in every scene, and Todd Phillips, who is just one of the great American directors. I guarantee you're going to love it - I went to the last screening and people were literally saying 'Oh my god, It's gotta stop - my face hurts!' Downey says Galifianakis doesn't necessarily improvise in the film he "just does what he wants- whether the scene needs it or not". The actor said he had to constantly ask his juvenile co-star, who he jokingly said acted like a child that just "did what he wants" at any time on the set, if "he needed to go to the bathroom because we're gonna be in the car for an hour".

I have no idea what he considers the first greatest movie he's ever made. Probably Heart and Souls.

  • In that same interview, RDJ confirmed that he was working with Alfonso Cuaron in a movie called Gravity that we wrote about a few weeks ago.

"I'm working with Alfonso Cuarón on this 3D space movie about people trying to fix the Hubble telescope. It's been really inspiring talking to Cuarón -- he lives in London, but he's originally from Mexico City, and there's a little bit of a language barrier but he's a brilliant guy and a thoughtful guy."

Gravity is expected to be about is the leader of a space station and another colleague, who travel outside the space station only to see their team blown to smithereens. It is then up to the man and woman to find their way back to Earth and their family, presumably with only limited resources.

  • On May 6th, at 150 AMC Theaters across the country, you can watch the original Iron Man for free, ahead of the midnight showing of Iron Man 2. And now I hate that I live in a Regal town.

  • There's been an inordinate amount of clips released ahead of Iron Man 2, in an effort, it seems, for us to be able to see everything in the movie before it's actually released. I'm just going to show you two of them: 1) The scene where Pepper and Stark discuss whether or not to hire Scarlett Johansson's character, and 2) the suitcase armor scene, because it's bad ass.

  • Speaking of Scarlett Johansson and her Black Widow character, Marvel President Kevin Feige -- who is going around this week nodding his head to every conceivable Marvel movie possibility -- is on record now as saying that Black Widow could potentially get her own spin-off. (Source: Slashfilm)

  • Finally, at the red carpet premiere of Iron Man 2, RDJ explains the appeal of the movie to females, modestly failing to mention that most of that appeal is in his shorts.

  • Oh, and here's RDJ in bed.
