Rick Baker's Original E.T. Designs Will Chew Through Your Face to Eat Away At Your Fond Childhood Memories

Like so many people who grew up in the 80s, the first movie that ever made me cry was E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. It broke my heart that E.T. had to leave his best friend Elliot to return to home, and he was just ugly enough to look alien, but cute enough not to look threatening.

But before E.T. was E.T., it was a sequel to Close Encounters to the Third Kind called Night Skies, and the alien at the center of that film was considerably more creepy than cute. Over on Twitter, special effects guru Rick Baker shared some of the designs for the extra terrestrials in Night Skies and they may make you cry for a different season.

F*ck your Reese’s Pieces. I want to eat your SOUL.
