First, Ben Affleck left the director’s seat. Matt Reeves signed on to take his place. Then it was rumored that Affleck would be removing the cowl. We haven’t heard anything further. Now the script for The Batman is being started all over again, with Reeves taking full creative control and trashing the script by Affleck, Chris Terrio, and Geoff Johns.

We don’t know who will be rewriting the script for The Batman, but hopefully Reeves’ vision still includes a face off between Deathstroke and Batman. If not, Joe Manganiello and fans will likely be disappointed.

Jeff Goldblum starred in the 1986 remake of The Fly, which was originally made in 1958. Get ready for version 3, because director J.D. Dillard (Sleight) will be remaking it for Fox. Like the Spider-Man movies, it would follow the same origin of the titular fly. A scientist accidentally combines his DNA stuff with a fly and he starts turning into a gross fly creature.

Does this mean a family of flies is watching their loved one turn into a gross scientist? BOOM. THERE’S THE REMAKE ANGLE.

The Matrix is also in talks to get a reboot, which seems like a bad idea. In the now early talks, Zak Penn (Ready Player One) is rumored to be writing the script and Michael B. Jordan (The Wire, Creed) is rumored to star. It is also rumored that this is kind of a shit idea and that maybe someone should give something original a shot.
