[REC] Genesis News And Images: Welcome To The Wedding From Hell

I’ve got a love/hate relationship with director Paco Plaza. On the one hand, he delivered the phenomenally scary and riveting [REC]. On the other hand, he (along with co-director Jaume Balagueró) stumbled a bit with the sequel, [REC] 2. But there were still some genuinely outstanding and chilling moments in the sequel, and news has been floating around now that Plaza would be striking out on his own for the third entry, [REC] Genesis. I’m desperately hoping that they can recapture the sense of terror and grim atmosphere in the next film, which will be then followed by the finale, [REC] Apocalypse.
Now we’ve got a synopsis as well as some pretty gruesome imagery from Genesis, which is due out later this year.
“The sequel encompasses the events of the first two films and after the sense of claustrophobia previously experiences. The action now takes place miles away from the original location and partly in broad daylight giving the film an entirely fresh yet disturbing new reality. The infection has left the building. In a clever twist that draws together the plots of the first two movies this third part of the saga also works as a decoder to uncover information hidden in the first two films and leaves the door open for the final installment, the future ‘REC 4 Apocalypse.’ “
Apparently, the theme is going to be “wedding from hell.” Here’s the poster:

Both REC and REC 2 are scary as hell so I'm fine with the series continuing. The wedding aspect is a cool twist on it. I'm guessing they will use that conceit to have multiple cameras covering the carnage.
