Please, Do Not Get Lost

According to Deadline, Star Trek and Lost writer/producer Damon Lindelof may be writing Ridley Scott's Alien prequel. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

I can't be certain, but it's possible the studio (20th Century Fox) feels the same as me. Apparently Lindelof met with studio executives and Ridley Scott, and while there were sparks, the love wasn't at first sight. Lindelof will be writing a script that could end up as the prequel or, as a stand alone science fiction film. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, eh? Hey, I'm not saying dude doesn't have any talent - I mean, Star Trek was decent but then again, he also wrote Lost's "The End" and I think you all know how I feel about that little gem. I'm just not sure I trust him with something so important. Plastic dishes: run with 'em! China: notsomuch.
