Please, Do Not Get Lost

According to Deadline, Star Trek and Lost writer/producer Damon Lindelof may be writing Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry.

I can’t be certain, but it’s possible the studio (20th Century Fox) feels the same as me. Apparently Lindelof met with studio executives and Ridley Scott, and while there were sparks, the love wasn’t at first sight. Lindelof will be writing a script that could end up as the prequel or, as a stand alone science fiction film. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, eh? Hey, I’m not saying dude doesn’t have any talent - I mean, Star Trek was decent but then again, he also wrote Lost’s “The End” and I think you all know how I feel about that little gem. I’m just not sure I trust him with something so important. Plastic dishes: run with ‘em! China: notsomuch.

Is the rebooted Star Trek one of those movies that Pajibans are expected to lovvvve, 'cause I'm with Slim on this one. What a load of ridiculous crap.

Good show Uriah.

The constant tugging of JJ Abram's cock around here is a major source of irritation for anyone who ISN'T into lensflared piles of crap.

Slim, I said decent - not exactly a rave review. Decent = okay.

WHOAH, WHOAH, no need to mouth off like that.

See what I was sayin' Uriah? Raving, frothing at the mouth, lunatics.

Ha! You're all sensitive now.

Here, have a lolly.

Where's MY lolly????

Posted by: Uriah Creep at July 29, 2010 10:53 PM

Oh fer cryin' out loud. Who's going to hold your hand when you're watching this piece of crap?

Okay, so maybe the final notes of LOST rang a little flat, but that doesn't negate the years of brilliance before it. I have complete faith in Lindelof.

Writing a film is different from writing a show. For one thing, you get to write the entire thing at once, and be able to go back and snip out the plotlines that were un-needed, or didn't work out when you reached the end--BEFORE millions of people see them. I'm weary of all the LOST hate.
