Pictorial: The Complete Cast of The Dark Knight Rises

By Dustin Rowles | Posted Under Trade News | Comments (25)

The Dark Knight Rises is another one of those projects, like The Great Gatsby and The Hunger Games, that has been the subject of so many rumors and casting notes over the last few months (years?) that, now that it’s filming, many may have forgotten who is officially in the movie. (Cher is not Catwoman and Eddie Murphy will not be playing The Riddler.) Additionally, smaller roles have been cast — and are continuing to be cast — that don’t warrant an entire post, but are certainly worth mentioning here.

Below is as an up-to-date look at Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises as we have. If anymore cast members are added, we’ll continue to add them to this page, that way we can keep all TDKR casting notes in one easy-to-glance-at, slide-show free image post.

Damn, Josh Pence looks uncannily like Liam Neeson minus a couple of decades.

Flashback or Lazarus pit though?

hey! Dead and kinda dickish guy!

Posted by: marie at May 24, 2011 12:00 PM

With so many different actors playing "unspecified," I worry this movie might be a bit confusing.

Posted by: Socrates_Johnson at May 24, 2011 12:10 PM

Damn, Michael Caine is looking good these days! Oh, wait, that's Christian Bale.

Posted by: Todd at May 24, 2011 12:16 PM

Wow. That's a damn fine looking cast.

Posted by: gp at May 24, 2011 12:36 PM

I kinda want to rub on Tom Hardy's back.

Posted by: admin at May 24, 2011 1:44 PM

I kinda want to rub on Tom Hardy's front. Repeatedly.

Posted by: dammitjanet at May 24, 2011 1:50 PM

Still not convinced I'll like this, but screw it, Gary Oldman's in it so I'll probably end up watching it anyway.

I kind of want my name to be Juno Temple.

Posted by: Zirze at May 24, 2011 2:15 PM

Oh Tom Hardy, how I desire you you crazy bastard. If you haven't watched Bronson yet, it's on Netflix watch it now. It's two hours of Tom Hardy being a batshit crazy British convict.

Posted by: FyreHaar at May 24, 2011 2:47 PM

Oooo Daniel Sunjata....

Posted by: denesteak at May 24, 2011 2:48 PM

I actually seriously disliked Bronson. It nearly bored me to death.

Oh, and I'll throw my vote in for Juno Temple as Batgirl...or Harley Quinn.

If this is the last Batman movie I say throw as many fucking villains at him as you can.

I second dammitjanets' motion to rub repeatedly.

Gary Oldman is so perfect as Gordon. What a great casting job.

Cool post, but in the breaking web trends Mila Kunis gets fingered by a girl.

I thought Diego Klattenhoff looked a little familiar. He was Shane Oman in Mean Girls. I feel like that movie is slowly becoming my new Clueless.

Anyway, what a seriously classy-hot cast. I'm intrigued to see what Juno Temple is doing in it. The only thing that displeases me just a little is that I'm guessing Cillian Murphy as Jonathan Crane won't be making another appearance. :(

Hey! It's that guy!

Posted by: The Mutt at May 25, 2011 2:53 PM

Aaah. So many white men. Seriously, I think Nolan is an amazing director but his female characters suck. They come off as wooden and limp largely due to the poor writing and even worse casting. Scarlett Johansson in The Prestige? Every time she came on screen I was cringing at how bad it was. Katie Holmes (!??!!) and then Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel? Even the Ellen Page character in Inception was not well fleshed out.
/mini-rant over.
