Patton Oswalt's Star Wars Filibuster Inspires the Perfect Movie Poster

By Dustin Rowles | Trade News | April 19, 2013 | Comments ()

I'm certain that you're all ignoring your work and are glued to your Twitters, your television screens, and your radios, watching and listening to the coverage out of Boston. I don't blame you. Insane. Insane. There's nothing I can say about the situation in this post that won't be dated in about 5 minutes, but man alive. Insane.

If you're clicking around the Interwebs while you're listening, however, you can at least take in this awe-inspiring movie poster created by Jef Castro for Entertainment Weekly, inspired by Patton Oswalt's eight-minute filibuster speech on Episode VII of Star Wars.

Perhaps we could change the PART'S to PARTS on the poster? Loved Patton's rant, it made the week!

It all seems like something out of a movie or tv crime series plot. Unbelievable. I hope they catch suspect #2 soon so Boston can try to get some sort of normalcy.

  • When does this become 'terror & police porn'? The media coverage - even at NPR - has a hard time staying on the right side of titillation on this unfolding event in real time. I also have to say there's a complicit element to our feeling entertained by the drama. It's remarkable, but a little disquieting to me.

A little smile in the midst of terrible insanity is always a good thing.

It is insane. Crikey, what a crazy week.
