Your Netflix subscription just got ten times hotter, *and* it looks as if we haven’t heard the last of the Red Viper’s hot (fake!) accent. Pedro Pascal just Narcos, a ten episode series about notorious Colombian drug lord and cocaine trafficker, Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura [Elysium, Elite Squad]). Directed by Jose Padilha (Robocop [2014], Elite Squad: The Enemy Within) and written by Hannibal’s Chris Brancato, Narcos sets out to “…tell the true story of how cocaine became such a huge problem in the U.S. and Europe - and how it all started here in Medellín.” Pascal will play Mexican DEA agent Javier Pena, sent by the United States to capture and kill Escobar.

Narco begins filming in Colombia shortly, and is expected to debut in 2015.
