Aubrey Plaza and Amy Poehler's Fake Make Out Is More Fun If You Pretend It's Real | "Breaking Bad" -- "Blood Money": Can't Find the Truth in a House of Lies, and You Can't See Tomorrow With Yesterday's Eyes

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • Can't really say any of the movies light me up. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind dropping trou and spending time with the header pic...

  • Andrew J

That Don Jon poster is so bad it makes me question where I will see it.

JK I'm in but man that poster should be "generic romantic comedy template"

  • Ginger

I saw 'Short Term 12' at a special screening last week...it's amazing. Indie gems like this one only survive by word of mouth, so that's mine. See it, really, I mean it. So fantastic.

  • emilya

short term 12. dustin and everyone else on this site have so lovingly talked about this movie and it's amazingness and ability to wreck me, that my tissues and i will be attending it first chance we get!

  • sean

Those are all illegal downloads. Not sit in theater movies. Besides, I doubt most of them will even play here.

  • csb

    Maybe Her, that is all.

  • logan

Well I was going to see CBGB and Don Jon but after all the pervy JGL comments I'm put off.

  • Drake

I suspect that when I finally watch "Don Jon" at home that I will be removing my pants, due to JGL. Just to be be safe from the heat buildup, I mean.

  • I want to see themovie about the adventures of Joaquin Phoenix's mustache. Because it is magnificent and it's making me feel weird things about Joaquin Phoenix. In my loins.

  • TherecanbeonlyoneAdmin

    Pants? Surely you jest.

  • Mrs. Julien

    We live in hope.

  • TherecanbeonlyoneAdmin

And I live to dash those hopes.

  • Mrs. Julien

    Against your "rocks"?

  • Simulacrum 1138

Everything but CBGB looks unbearably pretentious.

  • TheOriginalMRod

Probably CBGB, because I love Alan Rickman even when he doesn't have long greasy black hair.

  • tmoney

I want to see Don Jon, but that poster is horrible.

  • DataAngel

None of them. None. And I'm already wearing pants.

  • Mr. E

Idiot producer of Diana: "No, no. Naomi looks so much like Princess Diana that she doesn't need a prosthetic nose. Accent's fine too. Get rolling."

  • AudioSuede

The cast for CBGB is so scattershot. That movie is going to be a trainwreck.

  • Mrs. Julien

Here's an extrapolation: I'm not interested in the Diana movie, but if I were even nominally so, the fake necklace she is wearing with the misaligned pearls would strike my as emblematic of the likely half-assed nature of the film project. The necklace looks cheap and fake even as it echoes her famous engagement ring.

  • MissAmynae

Thank GOD I'm not the only one. It's the Claire's version! See here for her incredible collection of sapphires, and its an even bigger atrocity.

  • Mrs. Julien

    You complete me.

  • Berry

I think that's not only meant to echo her engagement ring, but to "be" her famous sapphire necklace. Or at least I could swear I've seen Diana wearing jewelry like that, only not cheap and fake looking.

And that does not mean I was a Diana fan as a little girl or anything. Okay fine, maybe I was. Maybe I even had a Diana paper-doll with a whole book full of fabulous outfits (the hats alone... )

I won't see this movie though. My admiration for the woman died long ago, and the memory of those fantastic outfits is best not tainted with cheap wigs and cheaper necklaces.

  • Mrs. Julien

I knew that I just didn't want to admit it. (http://lrrcreative.wordpress.c...
Kind of like the costume is echoing a Catherine Walker dress she wore. (http://www.anorak.co.uk/wp-con...

  • Sara_Tonin00

If only they'd had the guts to go with that stupid blue eyeliner she's wearing...

I have no interest in the Diana movie though, because I have no interest in Diana. Though I remember her death really clearly because it happened during a major breakup of mine, and I spent a few days zombieing in front of the tv.

  • Berry

Yeah, I had that debate with myself too, whether to admit to being that familiar with Diana's stupid choker or not. But then I figured what the hell.

The dress in the poster didn't ring any bells for me, but I remember that aqua number now. It still looks pretty amazing to me.

  • Mrs. Julien

She had great clothes. Untold wealth and privilege will do that for you.

I could not have less interest in a movie about her, in particular about the one part of her life she had managed to keep private. She's dead. Stop torturing her children.

  • Fruity Fonzie

Her: i mean, Phoenix and Amy Adams directed by Spike Jonze. That's the stuff wet dreams are made of

  • psemophile

because goddammit i'm in love with naomi watts.

  • Jiffylush

Probably CBGB definitely Don Jon. Her and Diane eventually. The poster for Short Term 12 makes it look potentially devastating so I will most likely pass.

  • kirivinokur

"Her". Look at that cast list and director.

  • mairimba

'Her' cause that is one fine looking mustache on Phoenix.

  • emmalita

Speaking as someone currently sitting around in Kermit the Frog pajama pants, I'm going to go with none of them.

  • Mrs. Julien

Where does one obtain such a magnificent item?

  • Mr. E

You must out drum Animal in a night-time Muppet Drum Line style gauntlet.

  • Mrs. Julien

Never go up against a drummer when fleece is on the line.

  • emmalita

Target, of course. They are fleecy and soft.

  • BigBlueKY

"her" .... so I can daydream about mustache rides.
