Back in the summer of 2012, before Silver Linings Playbook had even been released, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper shot a film called Serena with a screenplay apparently so well regarded that Darren Aronofsky and Angelina Jolie had once been attached. Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier (What We Lost In The Fire) came aboard and shot the film, but it went into post-production for 18 months, which is an odd length of time to spend on a movie about a Depression-era woman who is barren.

The film, however, will soon arrive at the London Film Festival, though it still has no official release date in America. After watching the trailer, I’m not so sure it deserves one.

Dude, the Emu’s accent? HOLY TERROR. Sometimes it’s there, and sometimes it isn’t! That’s some Far & Away bullsh*t right there, but the real treat comes when Jennifer Lawrence’s character RELEASES THE KRAKEN FALCON!

I may have peed myself a little, and now I understand why it’s taken so long for the film to get a release.

I love JLaw, but this looks like hot garbage.
