This trailer does exactly what a trailer should do, it sucks you in and makes you want to see the movie (without giving too much away). Who need words?

The clip has a little bit of "The Walking Dead" vibe (Love the quiet of that show) and even though barely any information is given, I'm already hooked. The Day is an upcoming thriller by Doug Aarniokoski, that follows a group of survivors of an apocalyptic event. Exactly what kind of peril they will be facing is unclear, but according to Twitch, the film is a cross between Red Dawn and The Road.

The Day stars Dominic Monaghan (I Sell the Dead, "Lost"), Shawn Ashmore (X-Men, Mother's Day), Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight's Tale, One Missed Call, "Moonlight"), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism) and Cory Hardrict (Gran Torino) and there are hopes this will be the first in a series. Though this is Aarniokoski's first directorial lead, he has served as second unit director on several films, including Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Resident Evil: Extinction and Takers.
