By God, they’re basically making a movie out of Adam Sandler’s “Lunch Lady Land,” although he’s not associated with it at all. Amy Poehler is set to star in Lunch Lady, based on a children’s graphic novel written by Jarrett Krosoczka. Accoding to THR, the book “centers on a mild-mannered school cafeteria server who secretly dishes out helpings of justice as she and her assistant investigate wrongdoings. The books also feature three kids who try to figure out her double life.”

Serves out helpings of justice? THR: You’ve outdone yourself.

It’s a series of books, the first of which is set to be released this fall. Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern are adapting the work for the screen.

Meh. I’ve heard worse ideas, though I never pegged Poehler as a lunch lady. Maybe Will Arnett can play janitor. In any respect, it gives us a chance to revisit a time when we still adored Adam Sandler. Give it up:

They're kids books, which means some self important twat whose only claim to adulthood is that she could squeeze out a brat or two for some overeducated asshole of a husband will wax poetic in her mommy blog about what important, life changing messages these stories contain and they'll be instant hits. Suburban moms can be such fucking sheep.

Does the justice come in the form of what your meatloaf (or is that supposed to be lasagne?) is REALLY made out of?

I still don't know what I did to piss off the lunch lady in the college cafeteria.

I miss Chris Farley. I wonder if he would have went down the shitty brick road with Sandler and the rest?

I'm so sorry Lucas sweetie, did that sting a little? Did your suburban mommy not get you everything that her friends told her were good for you? Or was it the part about being an asshole?

slower lower, you've raised some good points. And PissBot, you've made some solid arguments, as well. You've both built strong cases. But in the end, I'd say this win goes to PissBot.

Damn, I am REALLY excited for this. Sarah Haskins is absolutely hilarious - those of you unfamiliar should check out her "Target Women" segments on currentTV. She and Poehler together is like a wet dream.
