...Love Blossoms, And A Whole Lot Of Gross Zombie Kills: Here's A Glimpse At Season Three Of "The Walking Dead"
It seems like only yesterday that the second season of “The Walking Dead” and its assorted mysteries — what became of Sophia?, will they finally connect with the comic book in regards to Shane?, and when in God’s name will they get off that damn farm? — came to an end and the promise of a new beginning for all involved (the characters and the audience) loomed on the horizon. While season three of “The Walking Dead” won’t premiere until this Fall, AMC has bequeathed upon us a sneak peek at the first few days of shooting and it comes as very little surprise that the talking heads are very much excited to tell us how much more awesomer the new episodes will be compared to what’s come before. Fans of the comic book should be happy to see that the prison definitely looks like the central arc of the season. For those of you unfamiliar with the comics, be happy to know that this should be a very, very good thing.
Take a look:
Isn’t that cute? Even T-Dog has something to say! God damn will it be disappointing if he’s supposed to be the TV show’s version of Tyrese, but apparently roles have been cast that haven’t been made public, yet. Fingers crossed that character is one of them, if only for my own sanity. Surely, I can’t be the only one who is incessantly frustrated but can’t stop watching, in large part because it’s still the only zombie show on television. Right?
Rob Payne also writes the comic The Unstoppable Force, tweets on the Twitter @RobOfWar, and his wares can be purchased here and here (if you’re into that sort of thing). He thinks both The Walking Dead show and comic both are basically abusive spouses, but in very different ways.
