It's worth noting that once upon a time, in the not so distant past, Jason Segel had a jaw that could cut glass.

That's an adorable, little-seen set photo from the brilliant single season of "Freaks and Geeks." The set photos (which can be seen in their entirety here) are just one of three fantastic "Freaks and Geeks" features in the Judd Apatow-edited Comedy issue of "Vanity Fair." In addition to snaps of the cast (an impressive array of comedic talent looking impossibly young), there's also a lengthy oral history of the show with Apatow and creator Paul Fieg and reunion photos which include both cast members you love (Busy Phillips! Martin Starr!) and those you completely forgot about (Schwartzmann was in this? And Krumholtz?!). Time for a rewatch. Very few people are missing. Except you, Ben Foster. Anyway enjoy some 70s nostalgia by way of 90s nostalgia. I've included a few of my favorite images below. So crank up The Who and wriggle into your super studliestParisian Night Suit.

The reunion photos can be found on the comedy issue of Vanity Fair, and they were taken by Mark Seliger. Check out the issue on newsstands.

Lindsay was my first childhood crush and Linda Cardelleni still looks absolutely amazing.

Was Shia Lebouf busy that day?

  • Uriah_Creep

I never had a chance to watch "Freaks & Geeks", so this just reminded me how much I miss "Cougar Town".

Busy Phillips - most expressive face on television

Looking at that picture of James Franco and Busy Phillips reminded me of how much Franco USED to be crush worthy.

Whatever happened to that guy? He's been wearing that artistic-douche mask for quite some time now.

  • NickJester

If Schwartzman was allowed in, where were Joel Hodgeson and Trace Beauleiu? DON'T ANGER MSTIES APATOW!!!!

  • DarthCorleone

    Love these. Thank you!

  • pnnylne

So James Franco managed to shove his pretentiousness where the sun don't shine for this? *golf clap* Very good Franco. Very good.

You know, he did Your Highness like, last year. He's not that uptight.

  • pnnylne

    Mr. Franco? Is that you?

  • mairimba

Schwartzman was in ONE episode as a very minor character. Why is he there?

  • KatSings

    LInda looks amazing.

Also: whoever thought Bill would end up stopping traffic?

Or that Sam would ever have biceps.

Dammit, I wish Stephen Lea Sheppard was still onscreen. Maybe it's his decision, maybe not, but it's our loss. Dude was the funny.

This from Wiki is perfectly wonderful and unsurprising: "Beginning in 2007, he has co-authored several modules for the role playing game Exalted."
