Lessons in Bland Marketing: Which Two of these Hobbit Images are "Official"?

MGM and New Line Cinema have released the first two images from the set of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. They are really exciting. Probably the coolest non-descript, almost completely-useless set images from the set of The Hobbit of all time, ever. And because they’re so awesome, I thought I’d present you with a few other “non-official” images and allow you to try and pick which ones are the official ones, and which ones are not. Because obviously, the official ones are so exciting that you’d never mistake them for unofficial ones.

Yeah, but which one's the hobbit?

B & D. Apparently "set pics" are interchangeable with "Hobbit 'House and Home' Magazine pics".

I just hope they wrap the movie on time so that Martin can make it back in time to start filming the new season of 'Sherlock.'

@Socrates Ummm... E definitely has to be on the "not official" list as the poser Arthur Dent is completely photoshopped into that picture.

My Omi's garden gnome went missing last spring and we've been seeking the culprit ever since. I say unhand the Gartenzwerg immediately, Mr. Jackson, or face my unholy wrath!

Posted by: cinekat at March 22, 2011 9:30 AM

Oh. That IS Mr. Jackson.
My apologies, mein Herr. Carry on.

Clearly I didn't look closely enough. However, I also believe that Mr. Freeman has the ability to will himself into such pictures. He has no need for Photoshop.
