Kevin Smith. Seth Rogen. Elizabeth Banks. Star Whores.

Fucking Randall is in it, people. If that’s not a reason to watch Zack and Miri Make a Porno, then the trailer ought to be — check out the Red Band goodness (not safe for work, unless you work in the skin industry or you’re a judge just doing research).

I have... mixed feelings about this. It looks promising but I have, not exactly an aversion, but I guess some fatigue involving Seth Rogen. I see him in trailers and I'm like "Oh, that guy again". Aren't there any other schlubby but somewhat adorable funny guys in Hollywood? I mean, besides Kevin Smith also. Damnit, this isn't going anywhere productive.

This really doesn't interest me at all, but I guess I'm alone.

i am an extra in this movie and at least on set it was hysterical. i have high hopes for it.

Posted by: gem at September 3, 2008 12:04 PM

Eh. Maybe. Depends on how much Jeff Anderson's in it, though.

I've seen all of Kevin Smith's films and I sure as hell can't wait to see this one. Looks like I'll have to wait for a long time because films take a while before opening in my teeny-tiny country.

Also, Mewes is a hot bitch.

Posted by: Sofía at September 3, 2008 12:18 PM

If the roommates fall in love with each other at the end of the movie, Kevin Smith is on probation.

The trailer looked more Apatow than Smith to me. Of course that might just be the Rogen/Apatow association that I can't seem to shake.

I dunno, could be good. These days whenever I see a trailer that looks even kind of sort of okay I get excited because it gives me an excuse to take myself to the movies on Friday night instead of staying huddled in bed watching The Evil Dead for the 400th time. Obviously, I need to get out more... I just can't justify $10 for a ticket to The House Bunny of Disaster movie. Hollywood is destroying my social life.

If you'll excuse me, I have to go make a "Titty Auditions" sign to put on the outside of my office door.

He releases the siren call and like Wise Odysseus I am swayed to his side.
Kevin Smith is one of those directors that I will always go see. I don't even know why. I think I like the man more than his films. Don't let me down this time Uncle Smitty.

Thank You Dustin

Gem - I have never said this to anyone on this site but - I want to be you

I saw Clerks II last night. Again. I had nightmares of Mewes naked with his dick between his legs. But I will risk more Mewes nudity for Ms. Banks.

Posted by: JP at September 3, 2008 1:37 PM

Kevin Smith is pure shit.

Posted by: Frank at September 3, 2008 2:35 PM

Optimus, I'm with you. I will see ANYTHING with Kevin Smith's name on it (except Vulgar, I will never ever ever go anywhere near that). I even own Drawing Flies for Godtopus' sake.

And speaking of Jeff Anderson, did anyone else see Now You Know? I'm pretty sure that's how they landed Trevor Fehrman (of the wonderful TGIF sitcom Odd Man Out, co-starring Erik Von Detten) into II as Elias. That cat's AWESOME. Check out Cheats if you've got some free time. Martin Starr is in it as well as The Cribmaster, Applebee. As well as Matthew Lawrence and Fulton Reed Elden Henson. And David Krumholtz and Jewel Staite make some pretty hilarious cameos.

The dude was great in Pineapple Express.

I saw it. A bit much.

Posted by: Brian at September 3, 2008 11:45 PM

I guess it's like assuming people here are women, I should assume any names I don't recognize are from "The Office" or "Lost" as I haven't seen those shows. The weird thing was that I read it as "Daryl" as in "D.A.R.Y.L.", thinking someone was really happy the child star of a now obscure movie had resurfaced.

As the man said, ah'm a lil messed up on cough syrup now so just, like, never mind.

Kevin Smith seriously needs to stop making movies and just try to make money telling funny stories at ComicCon. Was that Jay?!

Posted by: ph at September 4, 2008 1:02 AM

Vulgar was the single weirdest movie. Say no to clown rape!

Posted by: ph at September 4, 2008 1:04 AM

Like, totally, OMG! I love seeing Jeff Anderson and (a healthy looking) Jason Mewes again!

Posted by: piedlourde at September 4, 2008 7:07 AM

um, I would not watch Rosie O'Donnell in a pr0no. Or Rosanne. Or Whoopie. Or all 3 of them together doing things no man could do.

Seriously: I have to use my eyes again. I couldn't use them if they were gouged out in disgust.

Posted by: hater from siloam springs at September 4, 2008 7:30 AM

y'know, Genny makes a good point: there's not one other fat sarcastic guy with untrimmed facial hair in Hollywood looking to make a movie in which he gets to be naked?

I don't believe that. Does anyone else believe that?

Posted by: hater from siloam springs at September 4, 2008 7:35 AM

Looks good... for a Kevin Smith movie! Oh!

Posted by: Ryan at September 4, 2008 5:19 PM

Oh, I finally watched this. I've been nervous about watching it at work, and I forgot last night when I got home. It looks like fun! And Mewes does look better, yay! And, to be honest, I'm right there with Optimus on the K-Smith love. I, in fact, watched Vulgar. And promptly blocked all memory thereof. But still.
