Exclusive: Katherine Heigl Set to Walk Down the Aisle in He's the One

Just days after signing on to replace Reese Witherspoon in One for the Money, based on the Janet Evanovich book about a lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter (seriously), Heigl is also in negotiations now to star in Is He the One? for Fox 2000 pictures.

And if you thought an unemployed lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter was dumb, get a load of the premise for this turd: It’s about a woman, walking down the aisle of her wedding, who spots faces in the crowd which trigger flashbacks about three different men. The question is: Which one is waiting for her at the end of the aisle?

Is it OK to hope that whichever man it is, he’s waiting at the end of the aisle with a sawed-off shotgun?

So, basically a dumber version of Mamma Mia crossed with Definitely, Maybe, right? The script comes from newcomer Michelle Morgan, who — it turns out — also scripted the remake for the in-development Girls Just Want to Have Fun, which currently has Miley Cyrus attached in the Sarah Jessica Parker role.

The universe is aligned against us, folks.

Wow. I just calculated that I owe the feds $901 in taxes and now THIS? That's just piling on. You and Uncle Sam really know how to ruin the day for a guy who just learned he doesn't need chemo.

It's getting to the point where I'm surprised every time a day passes without Katherine Heigl being being announced for another role.

Whoa, Nelly. Hold up there a minute. They're remaking Girls Just Want to Have Fun? With Miley Cyrus as Janey? But... Girls Just Want to Have Fun is a dance movie, and Miley Cyrus can't...

Oh. Oh, I see. This is gonna involve a stripper pole, isn't it?

I'm drinking a fifth of tequila and going back to bed. Wake me up when they remake Space Camp.

A shotgun is too painless and quick for this abominable creature, the man waiting should have a blunt object, I want her bludgeoned, to death.

*deep breath*

THIS IS THE STUPIDEST FUCKING PREMISE FOR A MOVIE THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD.

I'm serious. This is stupider than the "Battleship" movie. It is stupider than ANYTHING EVER.

It makes me want to slam my head in the car door until I feel less pain.

Oh please oh please may she reach the end of the aisle only to find T.R. Knight waiting for her dressed in a little Army uniform* looking every bit as shocked to see her tearfully saying, "Hey, YOU'RE not Armando!!!" After which she and Ashton Kutcher spray the church audience in a hail of gunfire complete with bouquet shrouded rocket launcher and crotch mounted mini-gun. Only to go down in a hail of gunfire and swordplay themselves from Clancy Brown and Billy Zane.

Bringing new meaning to the term "Rainbow Killer".

This movie can be redeemed by Vince Vaughan and Owen Wilson crashing the place and fucking everyone.

Hey Dustin, your fat-ass friend, Kevin Smith, needs to lose some serious weight. He got kicked off a Southwest flight for being toooo thick.

Every time I hear about what they're doing with One for the Money I wonder what the FUCK Janet Evanovitch was thinking when she signed her soul away. Reese Witherspoon would have been only marginally better as Stephanie Plum. Stephanie Plum is a Joisey girl, & is not, and has *never* been a blonde.

Snooki would make a better Stephanie Plum. And the scary thing is I'm not even joking.

I missed the news about One for the Money at first -- I am glad because I postponed the pain. I like the books because they are fun fluff for flights.

I just purchased "Plum Spooky" (one of Evanovitch's other Plum novels) in paperback yesterday -- I will have to work hard not to let Heigl's face insert itself in my head while I am reading. I might have to burn my collection of Plum stories.

I am not liking this upcoming movie either. Can just any ridiculous thing get made these days?

tough times for pajibians ... heigl and adams are the new ryan
and bullock and as such will permeate the silver screen for the
next decade or so.
this signals good news and good news.

the good news is that there is nothing that compels attendance
so the heigl haters can simply stay away.... and the good news is
that dustin gets plenty of ammunition for his scathing reviews.

Since Heigl always badmouths these sorts of roles after the movie's out and her check is safely in the bank, why does she keep doing them? Why do they keep offering them to her?

Why can't she be in SAW n? You know, the one where the chain is around her neck, and she has to either kill Aston Kutcher or saw her own head off.

Dusty, hon, let's all reread our Fundamentals of English Grammar textbooks, why don't we?

Koj - just for the record. Heigl is more often than not..not blonde but brunette. She is from the East coast as well. Any sensible arguments other than a hatred for the actress? Also to the idiots here...do you think she is making movies for you? No. Clearly they aren't to your taste. However it seems many people enjoy them judging from the box office for things like The Ugly Truth which got slaughtered by critics. The fact is...sites like this will just crucify the movie before it starts..so most people just ignore it anyway. If it was in some way balanced and constructive you might take the opinion to heart..but the obvious hate just encourage people to ignore the opinion.
