Do you like Katey Sagal’s inappropriate, often shoehorned musical montages on Sons of Anarchy? YOU DO? What is wrong with you?

In any case, you will be excited to learn that Katey Sagal has announced that she will “definitely be involved” with Kurt Sutter’s next project, The Bastard Executioner. In what capacity, we do not yet know, but the series will center on a warrior under King Edward III who retires after psychological burnout only to pick his sword back up — “and swing it on the necks of the damned - when violence rears its ugly head again.”

We don’t know yet in what capacity (nor does Sagal) because the project is still in the early stages of development, but if there was ever a series tailor made to promoting Katey Sagal’s music career, The Bastard Executioner is obviously it (if only because Queen already took A Knight’s Tale.

In the meantime, here’s Sagal’s “Greensleeves,” which was played in a recent episode involving a Jewish pimp named “Greensleeves.” Naturally.
