Karen Gillan Named 2012's Scottish Fashion Icon, Apparently Before They Saw This Photo

I don’t know anything about fashion, but I know about “Doctor Who,” so this is important: Model-turned-actress Karen Gillan has won the Scottish Fashion Icon Award, the same year she took on the role of supermodel Jean Shrimpton in the BBC drama, “We’ll Take Manhattan.” Apparently, demerits were not given for the particularly hairstyle sported above.

Also of note, Talia Lennox won Model of the Year. She’s Annie Lennox’s daughter.

Karen Gillan will return to “Doctor Who” for one last hurrah before she’s written out to make way for a newer model, Jenna Louise Coleman, during this year’s Christmas episode.
