I have professed my love for Joe Hill’s Horns on this site before. Each re-read of this cherished book brings me enjoyment, anguish, sadness, and exhilaration. Upon hearing the news that My Precious would be turned into a movie, I was eager to learn the particulars and hoped that it wouldn’t be totally ruined.

Daniel Radcliffe stars as Ig, a man who has been outcast from his community following the brutal rape and murder of his longtime girlfriend, Merrin (Juno Temple). After visiting the site of Merrin’s death near the one year anniversary, Ig awakens to find that he has grown horns.

Alexandre Aja (Haute Tension, Piranha 3D) is directing the Keith Bunin (In Treatment) adapted screenplay. I can only hope that the good buzz surrounding the film is genuine and my book will remain untarnished. The teaser looks like the novel feels, so that is good juju.
