11/22/63, the acclaimed Stephen King bestseller, is now being turned into a limited series (or what we used to call in the old days (last year) a mini-series). J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot Production company will be bringing it to Hulu.

The novel itself is about an English teacher who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of JFK, but soon finds that changes the past can be tricky (really? Did every time travel movie, ever, tip him off?)

Stephen King thinks its the book of his most well suited to event programming, and should it prove successful on Hulu, there’s an opportunity for a second season.

Hulu is clearly trying to play at the big kids’ table now.
