Jean Claude Van Damme Asks Aliens: "How Does It Feel To Be Hunted?"

It was inevitable, I suppose. The Muscles From Brussels has fought many foes in his weird-assed career: cyborgs, spies, assassins, time-travelers, cajun human-hunters, and even his twin brother. There’s really only one foe left (other than his own irrelevance)… yup, aliens.

Film School Rejects reports, via Variety, that Jean Claude Van Damme’s next film will be UFO, where he will athletically beat the fuck out of invading aliens. More than likely, he will do a split at some point as well, because he fucking can. The film comes from director Dominic Burns, who previously directed How To Stop Being A Loser, which, from what I can tell, stars a bunch of British Page Six girls. So yeah. Burns previously worked with Black And Blue Productions, which also has films like the upcoming Strippers Vs. Werewolves on its plate, although this one will be via his own production company.

Really, this was just an excuse for me to post the epic final fight from Bloodsport. If you do one worthwhile thing today, watch this goddamn video. If for no reason other than to see Bolo Yeung’s pec-flexing.

Holy frijoles, is that terrible. Gloriously terrible. And yes, that is Forest Whitaker in the crowd. Ye gods.

The impressive thing is that Bolo was 42 when Bloodsport was filmed. Well that and the nose blowing.

I thought that's what he was fighting in JCVD.

Director: But it's not a biopic, it's a fictional movie.
JCVD: Just tell them you got Van Damme. They'll be thrilled.

I would submit that Kickboxer is the superior Van Damme vehicle if for no other reason than the epic dance scene.

No wonder he was weak in the gut.

Someone should be asking JCVD what a ripped sack feels like.

Bloodsport rules. And the best fighting scenes are the two early round montages. Jackson vs. Chong Li and Dux against that really big guy are pretty cool too, though.
