It's Adorable that "Catching Fire's" Effie Trinket Takes Styling Tips from Mimi from "The Drew Carey Show"

Check out the new poster of Elizabeth Banks’ Effie Trinket, for Catching Fire (via Jezebel).

I don’t have a lot to say about it, except that I always think of Mimi from “The Drew Carey Show,” when I see Effie Trinket, and if they decide to extend The Hunger Games beyond the three books and well into the future, maybe they’ll look to Kathy Kinney to reprise the role as the older Effie Trinket, who has perhaps given up on life.

    Effie was my Halloween costume last year but then I got sick and couldn't go to the party. Now I'll have to build a whole new look if I'm going to use her for this year. On the other hand based on these photos, I can just buy some pink and let the dogs play shredder for an hour or so.

  • There's a portrait of Ceasar Flickerman going around, too. It's also underwhelming. I think they're aiming for regal and coming off as bored and gassy.

    Ah ha! Figured out how to post image! I lurrrrve how floofy it is. This was the collection that Sarah Burton said was inspired by jellyfish and I ADORE it. Its so wonderfully whimsical.
